Highway 1 westbound East 1st Avenue exit closed for construction work

There are more headaches for commuters who use westbound Highway 1 through Burnaby and into Vancouver.

As of Friday morning, the off-ramp to East 1st Avenue is closed.

It will be shut down for construction to upgrade a pedestrian crossing until July 13.

Crews have already closed down the westbound exit at Kensington Avenue.

That off-ramp from Highway 1 and one northbound lane on Kensington Avenue are closed 24 hours a day, seven days a week for two months as crews do roadwork.
