New West police arrest two youths in robbery

Police in New Westminster say officers arrested two youths in a suspected robbery in Moody Park on Sunday.
Officers say that a child was grabbed from behind by two other youths who demanded money.
CLICK HERE TO LISTEN TO LIVE WEATHER COVERAGE!Police arrived at the scene at around 5:30 p.m. and located and identified both suspects nearby.
They were arrested for robbery and later released to their guardians.
Police say that at least one of the suspects is known to the victim.
“We’re grateful the victim had the courage to come forward,” said communications officer Hailey Finnigan from the New Westminster Police Department.
The investigation remains ongoing.
