VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – TransLink is demanding an online video game showing the slaughtering innocent people and SkyTrain employees be taken down immediately.
The transit authority says it has a legal authority over its intellectual property and out of safety concerns for everyone it can’t be seen as endorsing such violent content.
There is universal concern amongst employees as well.
“While we can’t control the subject matter that individuals choose to use in the making of video games, we do have legal rights with respect to our intellectual property,” CEO Ian Jarvis said.
“Any time the safety or sense of safety of our employees and customers is undermined – that gives me cause for concern. That’s why we are vigorously pursuing our legal options.”
