VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) – June’s high river waters were a fertile breeding ground for mosquitoes.
With levels dropping, biologist Dirk Lewis says we’re not seeing many new bugs and he explains the ones from June are dying off.
Lewis says this year was worse than average in many areas.
“This year was worst than average but expected with the high water,” he explains
Lewis thinks things should be better this month thanks to hotter, drier weather.
