Closures will be in place on a major highway in Metro Vancouver this weekend to allow crews to fix a damaged overpass that was hit by a truck last summer.
Highway 99 southbound, just south of the Massey Tunnel, will close from 10 p.m. Friday and will reopen on Sunday at 5 p.m.
The highway will be closed from just before the Highway 17A overpass until the Matthews Interchange.
Northbound lanes will not be affected by the closure.
The work to repair the overpass began on Monday, and according to the province, the job will take a total of about two months. The project is expected to wrap up around the beginning of March — if all goes as planned.
