NDP still leads Conservatives, United ahead of B.C. election: poll

According to the latest poll by the Angus Reid Institute, the BC NDP is maintaining a healthy lead over its competitors in the lead-up to the upcoming provincial election.
Angus Reid explained Thursday that the NDP is in front with 41 per cent of voter intention — an 11 per cent lead over the BC Conservatives at 30 per cent.
In third, BC United was chosen by 16 per cent of those surveyed. “This represents a 50 per cent loss from the party’s 2020 election popular vote,” Angus Reid stated.
Angus Reid shared that Conservative Leader John Rustad and United Leader Kevin Falcon may be suffering in the polls due to their public perception.
Both Rustad and Falcon were described by those surveyed as: boring, uncaring, and a “liar.” Meanwhile, NDP Leader and Premier David Eby was described as intelligent, compassionate, ethical, and trustworthy. BC Greens Leader Sonia Fursteneau was also described as compassionate, intelligent, and ethical, whilst also being down-to-earth and trustworthy.
“Falcon is most likely of all leaders to be viewed as uncaring, a liar, and arrogant, though many say this of Eby as well. In terms of overall negative intensity, Falcon leads, followed by Eby, Rustad, and Furstenau,” Angus Reid explained.
The survey by Angus Reid was conducted over May 24 – 27 and included more than 1,200 B.C. adults.
