We have a winner! Congratulations to John Cruz of Richmond, who called in with time to spare and is now $2,000 richer!

Meteorologist Michael Kuss missed the mark on Monday’s Guaranteed High.

Cruz — this decade-long listener — was caught off guard when he heard his name when having a relatively calm day at home.

“I’m still nervous actually. I don’t even know what to say. I’ve been a listener all these years,” he told CityNews.

Cruz’s win today means the Escalating Weather Guarantee Jackpot is now back to $1,000.

It goes up by $100 each weekday that Kuss gets the Guaranteed High right. If he misses by more than two degrees Celsius, the jackpot goes up for grabs!
