The Pacific National Exhibition’s (PNE) 88th annual PNE Prize Home was won by Burnaby resident Barb Bamford Monday.
In a statement, Shelley Frost, president and CEO of the PNE, said it was a privilege to announce the winner of the $2.4 million home.
“We are so pleased to congratulate Barb the proud new owner of this luxurious home in Langley, B.C.,” she said.

The 2022 PNE Prize Home is 3408 sq ft, with three bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms and a media room.
In a give-away first for the PNE, the home also includes a one bedroom guest suite, with the exhibition adding “the climate-friendly features include an EV charger, 12 solar panels measuring 4.08kW, triple pane windows and an all-electric heat pump system to heat and cool the home.”
This year, 792,548 tickets were sold to guests of the Fair, as well as by phone and online. Proceeds from the lottery support a variety of non-profit programs at the Pacific National Exhibition, the exhibition says.
Bamford’s win comes after the 2022 PNE Fair ended Labour Day Monday, after a controversial start to the annual event.
Some families felt let down by the coupon system that meant their children weren’t able to go on rides, while others were disappointed at the fair’s decision to not have “Those Little Donuts” at the two-week long fair.
