The 11th Khatsahlano Street Party is taking over a part of Vancouver’s west side Saturday.
Vancouver’s biggest street festival will close down West 4th Avenue between Burrard and MacDonald streets as more than 60 performers take to the stages from 11 a.m.
Yukon Blonde is this year’s headliner, with other performances by Pink Mountaintops, Desiree Dawson, and more.
The free event runs until 9 p.m., however, the Vancouver Police Department says road closures will be in place until 1 a.m. Sunday.
The 10-block festival also features food trucks, beer gardens, and things for the kids.
“For all of us involved in presenting Khatsahlano, we are grateful for the opportunity to present such a diverse selection of some of the finest music this region has to offer. Khatsahlano again showcases so many great local musicians, worthy of seeing year round, wherever they might perform. … It’s truly a treat to the ears of anyone attending,” said Grant McDonagh of Zulu Records.
