A crash that closed the intersection of Broadway and Burrard Street in Vancouver involved an unmarked Vancouver Police Department cruiser, CityNews has learned.
The cruiser and a second vehicle ended up mounting the sidewalk, and VPD officers had the intersection closed while they were on scene investigating the incident.

In an update, VPD Chief Adam Palmer says he was woken just before 5 a.m. Monday after two officers were taken to Vancouver General Hospital.
“Both of those officers — one has been released, the other one may still be in hospital but he will probably be released shortly. Those officers will be okay but it was a very serious car accident.”
Palmer says the driver of the other vehicle was not taken to hospital.
