BC Ferries says the elevators aboard the Queen of Cowichan have been fixed, after they all went out of service Monday.
The vessel runs between Nanaimo and Metro Vancouver and BC Ferries had brought in portable washrooms after issues with ship’s elevators surfaced.
The problem meant access between the vehicle decks and passenger decks — where washrooms and its Coastal Café are located — were limited to stairs only.
The ferry service had been offering customers in vehicles who require elevator access the option of travelling at a later time.
