Relief at the gas pump for Metro Vancouver drivers

There’s a welcome change for drivers in Metro Vancouver on Monday morning.

Gas prices have dropped below the $2 per litre of regular gas mark at some stations around the region.

With the relief at the beginning of the week, there’s a chance prices could further decrease.

Petroleum analysis website Gasbuddy.com says refinery maintenance is currently underway, and the output of gasoline should rise in the coming weeks.

It also comes as the seasonal switchover to the more expensive summer fuel blend is almost complete.
