Victoria police seek witnesses after pedestrian hit by vehicle

The Victoria Police Department says it is looking for witnesses and dashcam footage after a 79-year-old pedestrian was hit by a car Friday.
Around 11 a.m., the pedestrian was crossing the road at the intersection of Fisgard and Government Streets when they were hit by a vehicle.
The person was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The intersection was closed for several hours while investigators looked over the scene.
VicPD says the driver stayed at the scene and was cooperative.
Anyone with dashcam or CCTV footage or who may have witnessed the accident is being asked to call the E-Comm Report Desk at 250-995-7654, extension 1.
