Highway 1 eastbound reopens after vehicle ‘incident’ near Hope

If you’re headed to the Interior Monday morning, allow for some extra time after Highway 1 was temporarily closed heading east before Hope.

Highway 1 eastbound was closed south of Hope near Silver Creek. The highway reopened just before 7:30 a.m.

The closure was between Laidlaw Road and Flood Road. You can take Highway 9 to Highway 9 through Agassiz, and then get back onto Highway 1 closer to closer to Hope if you’d like to bypass the previous closure.
