Police investigating ‘serious’ downtown Vancouver stabbing

Vancouver Police Department officers are on scene in the downtown core Thursday after a morning stabbing sent one person to hospital.

The VPD says the victim was found at West Hastings and Richards streets, but investigators believe the assault took place elsewhere.

Const. Tania Visintin says no arrests have been made.

One person was taken to hospital in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries, Visintin explained.

“The investigation is in its very early stages,” she said.
