The Independent Investigations Office of BC (IIO) has been called in after a man died in Burnaby, Friday.
According to the RCMP, Mounties were called to the Kensington Plaza area just before 6 a.m. for reports of a man who was reportedly “overdosing” and who had been in a fight with a local store employee.
While he was being arrested, investigators say “he began to show signs of medical distress.”
